The Cooperative was originally founded in 1951 for the production of fine chemicals and diagnostic reagents. During the years and simultaneously with the dynamic development of the Hungarian chemical industry its capacity has been grown and the activity has been extended with the manufacture of several other products like organic peroxides, propolis products, engine-oil additives, catalysts.

Since 1994 the Cooperative has been a private company and the production is focused on the pharmaceutical raw materials, and intermediates, but we maintain the manufacture of our traditional products as well.

For manufacturing our products we have the following equipments:

  • 30 pieces acid-proof or enamelled stirring autoclaves (250-6000 litres, totally 50,000 m3),
  • hydrogenating equipment with turbo-stirrer up to pressure of 20 atm,
  • vacuum distillation equipment of 1 Hgmm and 260°C,
  • alkaline pouring equipment at 260°C,
  • auxiliary plants (centrifuges, vacuum-pumps, filters, drying machines, grinders)

Almost all chemical processes used in the pharmaceutical industry can be carried out with the help of the above mentioned equipments, like oxidation, reduction (hydrogenation), esterification, cyanization etc.

The export of our pharmaceutical products has been initiated at the beginning of 1996 with a considerably success by selling tons of Melatonin in form of raw material mainly to the US market. Since then we sold many tons of different raw materials and now we are well known in the world as an exporter of fine chemicals.
FiveCoop has about one hundred employees and its own R&D, quality control and Care&Maintenance department as well, with qualified experts.

The management of FiveCoop intends to broaden the range of our pharmaceutical raw material products and Food&Nutrition Additives, and by exporting them we take aim at the international markets.
